Where It Began

It started in a garage in Portland, Oregon, in the mid-nineties. Our founder had spent years as a competitive cyclist, chasing recovery solutions that actually worked — ice baths, massage therapy, physiotherapy, expensive spa memberships. The results were inconsistent. The costs were unsustainable. And the commute to a wellness center at 6am, after a long day, for the third time that week — wasn't a habit anyone could keep.

A trip to a traditional Finnish wellness center changed everything. Three infrared sessions in, something shifted. Inflammation retreating. Sleep deepening. Energy returning — not the caffeinated kind, but the kind that actually lasts. He came home with a single question: Why doesn't everyone have access to this?

That question became PureHaven.

Thirty Years of Getting It Right

We've never been in a hurry. The first Haven cabin took two years to get right — sourcing natural hemlock that breathes and ages without warping, developing carbon fiber infrared panels that run cooler on the surface while penetrating deeper, engineering a control system precise enough for therapeutic use but simple enough for anyone to operate.

We earned our UL, CE, and FCC certifications not because a retailer required them, but because we believe safety and quality must be verifiable — not just promised. That process took time. We think it was worth it.

Over the decades, we've shipped thousands of cabins to families in all 50 states. We've opened US warehouse hubs so every order ships free, without freight surcharges or customs delays. We've refined our assembly process until it takes 30 to 40 minutes, requires no tools, and needs nothing more than a standard 110V outlet.

The fundamentals haven't changed. The cabin you receive today is built on the same principles as the first one — just thirty years better.
